Visual designer and led production of a website for a brand new emerging virtual reality company, Vrse.works.

Vrse.works is an emerging poduction company that specializes in representing creative directors and talent teams making virtual reality films. With the launch of their new company, we were tasked to create a site that used simplicity to contrast the complicated nature of VR and the VR filmmaking world. This simple set up also allowed flexibility to the site for the eventual changes in the company and this new and growing platform.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Vrse.works is an emerging poduction company that specializes in representing creative directors and talent teams making virtual reality films. With the launch of their new company they were in need of a simple site that was able to help people navigate the complicated nature of VR and VR filmmaking.
PROCESS AND APPROACH

A simple approach to the site allowed for flexibility to the eventual changes in the company and this new and growing platform. Full screen images were used to showcase their projects along with large titles and buttons to make navigation simple and consistent throughout the website. The option to view their films with or without a VR capable device, like the Oculus, was important so that anyone visiting this site would get a taste of the impact of their projects.

MY ROLE

As the production designer on the site, I was in charge of making sure the theme was carried out and consistent amongst all pages. I worked closely with the Creative Director to make sure the client was happy and implementing feedback on all supplementry pages. I spent a lot of time exploring possibile page layouts for showcasing projects in the clearest way. As well as taking into consideration the growing company and list of directors that they were supporting.

As the production designer on the site, I was in charge of making sure the theme was carried out and consistent among all pages. Vrse.works has since changed its name and certain content, but kept the overall feel of the website the same. I included only my original designs here.
